Data protection & privacy
FactuLingua™ processes personal data in line with UK GDPR and applicable UK data protection law. We collect only what is needed to operate accounts, subscriptions, support and security.
- Account data (name, email, password hash).
- Billing metadata from Stripe/PayPal (no full card numbers or CVV).
- Usage and diagnostic data for security and performance.
- AI prompts and outputs only as needed for abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
For full details, see the Privacy & Cookies Policy.

Payments & billing
Subscriptions and payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. FactuLingua™ does not store full card numbers, CVV or bank login details.
- Stripe and PayPal act as independent controllers for certain payment data.
- We store non-sensitive metadata (e.g. last4, card brand, subscription status) for billing history and entitlement checks.
- Billing rules, renewals, failed payments and refunds are covered in the Subscription Terms.
Security & infrastructure
FactuLingua™ uses a cloud backend where the server is the single source of truth for quotes, invoices and related data. Local desktop apps act as clients connecting to this backend.
- Transport encryption (HTTPS) for traffic between apps and server.
- Server-side enforcement of plan limits and entitlements.
- Backups and logging for reliability and troubleshooting.
- Rate-limiting and abuse controls to protect the platform.
Technical release notes and changes may be listed at: /app/releases.
AI transparency
FactuLingua™ includes optional AI helpers for generating scope and pricing suggestions for quotes. AI is used to assist, not to replace professional judgement.
- AI outputs are suggestions only and must be reviewed before use.
- AI is not used to make automated legal or credit decisions about users.
- We restrict the data sent to AI providers to job-related context where possible.
